I am grateful for Good Samaritan Food Ministry and all they do for me. I’m a widow.   My husband died in 2016 of heart failure and diabetes.  We were childhood sweethearts.  Just before he died, he thought it was important to renew our vows.  That was a special day as he was the love of my life.

I do get lonely. I don’t have much family, only one sister who doesn’t live in town. And I am grateful for a neighbor who gives me a ride to get my food.  She stays in touch with me to make sure I am seen about.

I didn’t realize how hard it would be to live on one income.  I can just barely pay my rent.  So, getting food here helps me stay in my house. I read my Bible every night and then sleep with it under my pillow.

I want to thank everyone who helps provide my food.  I don’t know what I would do without this help. Everyone here cares about me, and I count you all as blessings to me.  I do the best that I can, and God always makes a way to provide for me.
